History of Coleman

In 1882, the dreams of the Coleman area settlers were answered when a new railroad track was laid between Coleman and Pound. The tracks brought settlers closer to markets in other cities and provided a shorter route for lumber to travel. In 1884 the rails extended from Coleman and Pound and eventually to Crivitz and Marinette, which brought in more goods and more settlers.

The Municipal Building will have a change in hours the week of Thanksgiving as follows:

 

Monday, Nov 24th 9am - 4pm
 

Tuesday, Nov 25th 9am - 4pm
 

Wednesday, Nov 26th, 9am - Noon
 

Thursday, Nov 27th Closed

 

December 9th 5:30-7:30pm
